Every Stage
A dementia diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and every person will experience their journey differently. At AshwellCare, we provide tailored support that respects each individual’s needs, history and personality. Dementia affects people in many ways, from changes in memory to altered behaviour or communication. Our care approach focuses on helping each person live well, feel safe and remain as independent as possible in their own home. We work closely with a dementia specialist and draw on the latest research to strengthen our care approach. This collaboration ensures our team continues to develop skills, understanding and best practice that truly benefits the people we support.

Meaningful Impact

Numbers that show our commitment
  • We measure success by the lives we touch and the independence we help preserve. Every statistic represents someone choosing to stay at home, supported by care they can count on.

Support that

Feels Personal
Compassion and understanding sit at the heart of our dementia care. We recognise the person, not the condition, and shape every element of care around what brings comfort, familiarity and joy. This thoughtful approach helps maintain routines, reduce anxiety and support wellbeing. Our Care Companions build meaningful relationships, offering calm reassurance through every stage while giving family members confidence that their loved one is supported with patience and respect.

Living well

At Home
Staying in a familiar environment can help reduce confusion and provide a sense of security. Home based care offers consistent one to one support that is shaped entirely around the individual. Daily routines, favourite meals, comforting surroundings and personal choices all remain intact, helping people stay active and independent for longer.

Your questions answered

Home care in Malvern, Upton-upon-Severn and west Worcester

Which areas do you cover?

We provide home care across Malvern, including Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Barnards Green, Malvern Wells, West Malvern and Colwall; Upton-upon-Severn, Hanley Castle and Hanley Swan; and west Worcester, including St Johns, Lower Wick, Henwick, Rushwick, Hallow, Powick and Callow End. Not sure if we cover you? Call 01684 778750 and we'll tell you straight away.

How quickly can care start?

We know care needs can arise suddenly, for example after a fall or a hospital stay. Where possible we arrange care promptly. It starts with a free chat, then a free, no-obligation assessment at home so we can agree a care plan that fits.

How much does home care cost?

The cost depends on how long each visit is and how often you need us. We'll explain our prices clearly at your free assessment, before any care starts, so there are no surprises. Read more about home care costs.

Are you regulated?

Yes. AshwellCare (Ashwell Home Care Services Ltd) is registered with the Care Quality Commission and rated Good in all five areas. We also score 9.9 out of 10 from 90 reviews on homecare.co.uk.

Who will be my carer?

All of our carers are carefully recruited, DBS checked and trained in-house. We introduce your carer before care begins and aim to keep the same small team visiting, so you see familiar faces.

The first step is a brief chat with one of our team, usually Phil or Deb, either over the phone, by video call or in-person at our office in Malvern. Once we've had an initial discussion and provided suitable available options we will arrange a free no-obligation care assessment visit.
